Exposed aggregate cleaning on the Sunshine Coast
Exposed aggregate looks great clean and tired when it isn’t. Grime and mould settle into the texture between the stones and turn the whole slab grey. We lift it out so the aggregate reads light again.

Getting the grime out from between the stones
The texture that makes exposed aggregate look good is also what holds the dirt. Grime, mould and algae work down between the stones, and over time the colour of the stone disappears under a grey film.
On aggregate, uneven lance work shows up as light and dark patches — so the main area gets an even pass with the surface cleaner, and the edges and joints get finished by hand.
Aggregate driveways, paths and patios all get the same treatment.

Exposed Aggregate Cleaning FAQs
How much does exposed aggregate cleaning cost on the Sunshine Coast?
It depends on the size of the area, the surface and how much grime has built up, so every job is quoted individually rather than off a price list.
Quotes are free and there's no obligation. Call or text 0450 357 617, or send the quote form with a rough size and what the surface is made of.
Why has my exposed aggregate gone dark?
Usually it’s grime, mould and algae built up in the texture between the stones — especially in shaded or damp spots. It sits on the surface, so a proper clean lifts it out and the stone colour comes back.
Will pressure washing damage exposed aggregate?
It shouldn’t when the pressure and technique suit the surface. We use a surface cleaner for an even pass rather than blasting up close with a lance.
If any stones are already loose or the surface is breaking up, point it out when you get your quote so we can talk it through first.
How often should exposed aggregate be cleaned?
There’s no fixed schedule — it depends on shade, trees and how damp the area stays. Shaded spots grime up faster than slabs in full sun, so most people book a clean once the stone colour starts to disappear.
